14 Then took Abimelech sheep and beeves, and men servants, and women servants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is [a]before thee, dwell where it pleaseth thee.

16 Likewise to Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is the [b]veil of thine eyes to all that are with thee, and to all others: and she was [c]thus reproved.

16 To Sarah he said, “I am giving your brother a thousand shekels[a] of silver. This is to cover the offense against you before all who are with you; you are completely vindicated.”
