2 At exactly the time God said it would happen, Sarah became pregnant and gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. 3 Abraham named his son Isaac.[a] 4 Abraham did what God commanded and circumcised Isaac when he was eight days old.

2 Sarah became pregnant and bore a son(A) to Abraham in his old age,(B) at the very time God had promised him.(C) 3 Abraham gave the name Isaac[a](D) to the son Sarah bore him. 4 When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him,(E) as God commanded him.
