12 And he said, “Do not stretch out your hand against the boy; do not do anything to him. For now I know that you are one who fears[a] God, since you have not withheld your son, your only child, from me.” 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked. And behold, a ram was caught in the thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place “Yahweh will provide,”[b] for which reason[c] it is said today, “on the mountain of Yahweh it shall be provided.”[d]
