Genesis 24:5-7

⁵The servant said to him, But perhaps the woman will not be willing to come along after me to this country. Must I take your son to the country from which you came?

⁶Abraham said to him, See to it that you do not take my son back there.

⁷The Lord, the God of heaven, Who took me from my father’s house, from the land of my family and my birth, Who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, To your offspring I will give this land—He will send His ^[a]Angel before you, and you will take a wife from there for my son.

Genesis 24:5-7

⁵The servant asked him, “What if the woman is unwilling to come back with me to this land?^(A) Shall I then take your son back to the country you came from?^(B)”

⁶“Make sure that you do not take my son back there,”^(C) Abraham said. ⁷“The Lord, the God of heaven,^(D) who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land^(E) and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring^[a]^(F) I will give this land’^(G)—he will send his angel before you^(H) so that you can get a wife for my son from there.
