Genesis 28:19-21
Good News Translation
19 He named the place Bethel.[a] (The town there was once known as Luz.) 20 Then Jacob made a vow to the Lord: “If you will be with me and protect me on the journey I am making and give me food and clothing, 21 and if I return safely to my father's home, then you will be my God.

New International Version
19 He called that place Bethel,[a](A) though the city used to be called Luz.(B)
20 Then Jacob made a vow,(C) saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over me(D) on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear(E) 21 so that I return safely(F) to my father’s household,(G) then the Lord[b] will be my God(H)
