Genesis 29:7-9
International Children’s Bible
7 Jacob said, “But look, it is still the middle part of the day. It is not time for the sheep to be gathered for the night. So give them water and let them go back into the pasture.”
8 But they said, “We cannot do that until all the flocks are gathered. Then we will roll away the stone from the mouth of the well and water the sheep.”
9 While Jacob was talking with the shepherds, Rachel came with her father’s sheep. It was her job to take care of the sheep.

New International Version
7 “Look,” he said, “the sun is still high; it is not time for the flocks to be gathered. Water the sheep and take them back to pasture.”
8 “We can’t,” they replied, “until all the flocks are gathered and the stone(A) has been rolled away from the mouth of the well. Then we will water(B) the sheep.”
9 While he was still talking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep,(C) for she was a shepherd.
