Genesis 31:47-49

47 Laban named the mound Jegar-sahadutha, but Jacob named it Galeed.[a]
48 Then Laban said, “This mound is a witness between you and me today.” Therefore the place was called Galeed 49 and also Mizpah,[b](A) for he said, “May the Lord watch between you and me when we are out of each other’s sight.

New International Version
47 Laban called it Jegar Sahadutha, and Jacob called it Galeed.[a](A)
48 Laban said, “This heap(B) is a witness between you and me today.”(C) That is why it was called Galeed. 49 It was also called Mizpah,[b](D) because he said, “May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other.
