Good News Translation
51 Here are the rocks that I have piled up between us, and here is the memorial stone. 52 Both this pile and this memorial stone are reminders. I will never go beyond this pile to attack you, and you must never go beyond it or beyond this memorial stone to attack me. 53 The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor[a] will judge between us.” Then, in the name of the God whom his father Isaac worshiped, Jacob solemnly vowed to keep this promise.

51 Laban also said to Jacob, “Here is this heap,(A) and here is this pillar(B) I have set up between you and me. 52 This heap is a witness, and this pillar is a witness,(C) that I will not go past this heap to your side to harm you and that you will not go past this heap(D) and pillar to my side to harm me.(E) 53 May the God of Abraham(F) and the God of Nahor,(G) the God of their father, judge between us.”(H)
So Jacob took an oath(I) in the name of the Fear of his father Isaac.(J)
