23 (A)After he had sent them across, he also sent across all that he owned, 24 (B)but he stayed behind, alone.
Then a man came and wrestled with him until just before daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he was not winning the struggle, he hit Jacob on the hip, and it was thrown out of joint.

New International Version
23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions.(A) 24 So Jacob was left alone,(B) and a man(C) wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip(D) so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man.
