Genesis 32:29-31
Common English Bible
29 Jacob also asked and said, “Tell me your name.”
But he said, “Why do you ask for my name?” and he blessed Jacob there. 30 Jacob named the place Peniel,[a] “because I’ve seen God face-to-face, and my life has been saved.” 31 The sun rose as Jacob passed Penuel, limping because of his thigh.

Genesis 32:29-31
New International Version
29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”(A)
But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?”(B) Then he blessed(C) him there.
30 So Jacob called the place Peniel,[a] saying, “It is because I saw God face to face,(D) and yet my life was spared.”
31 The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel,[b](E) and he was limping because of his hip.
