New Century Version
5 I have cattle, donkeys, flocks, and male and female servants. I send this message to you and ask you to accept us.’”
6 The messengers returned to Jacob and said, “We went to your brother Esau. He is coming to meet you and has four hundred men with him.”
7 Then Jacob was very afraid and worried. He divided the people who were with him and all the flocks, herds, and camels into two camps.

5 I have cattle and donkeys, sheep and goats, male and female servants.(A) Now I am sending this message to my lord,(B) that I may find favor in your eyes.(C)’”
6 When the messengers returned to Jacob, they said, “We went to your brother Esau, and now he is coming to meet you, and four hundred men are with him.”(D)
7 In great fear(E) and distress(F) Jacob divided the people who were with him into two groups,[a](G) and the flocks and herds and camels as well.
