¹⁹Rachel died and was buried on the road to Ephrath, that is, Bethlehem. ²⁰Jacob erected a pillar on the tomb. That monument to Rachel can be seen to this day.

¹⁹So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrath^(A) (that is, Bethlehem^(B)). ²⁰Over her tomb Jacob set up a pillar, and to this day^(C) that pillar marks Rachel’s tomb.^(D)

²¹Israel moved on again and pitched his tent beyond Migdal Eder.^(E)
