7 He built an altar there and called that place El Bethel [God of the House of God]. That’s where Elohim had revealed himself to Jacob when he was fleeing from his brother. 8 Rebekah’s nurse Deborah died and was buried under the oak tree outside Bethel. So Jacob called it the Tree of Crying.

9 Then Elohim appeared once more to Jacob after he came back from Paddan Aram, and he blessed him.

Genesis 35:7-9
New International Version
7 There he built an altar,(A) and he called the place El Bethel,[a](B) because it was there that God revealed himself to him(C) when he was fleeing from his brother.(D)
8 Now Deborah, Rebekah’s nurse,(E) died and was buried under the oak(F) outside Bethel.(G) So it was named Allon Bakuth.[b]
9 After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram,[c](H) God appeared to him again and blessed him.(I)
