20 Adah gave birth to Jabal, who was the predecessor[a] of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. 21 His brother’s name was Jubal, who was the predecessor of all who play the lyre and flute. 22 Zillah also gave birth to Tubal Cain, who made all kinds of tools and weapons from bronze and iron. Tubal Cain’s sister was Na’amah.

20 Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock. 21 His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play stringed instruments(A) and pipes.(B) 22 Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged(C) all kinds of tools out of[a] bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain’s sister was Naamah.
