Genesis 42:12-14
International Standard Version
12 But Joseph[a] kept insisting, “It’s just as I’ve said—you’ve come here to spy on our unguarded[b] territories!”
13 “But your majesty,” they pleaded, “your servants include twelve brothers, the sons of a common father back in the land of Canaan. Please! Our youngest brother[c] remains with our father, and the other one[d] is no longer alive.”
14 “I’m right!” Joseph insisted. “Just as I said, you’re spies!

12 “No!” he said to them. “You have come to see where our land is unprotected.”(A)
13 But they replied, “Your servants(B) were twelve brothers, the sons of one man, who lives in the land of Canaan.(C) The youngest is now with our father, and one is no more.”(D)
14 Joseph said to them, “It is just as I told you: You are spies!(E)
