26 All the persons belonging to Jacob who came into Egypt who were his own offspring, not including the wives of his sons, were sixty-six persons in all.(A) 27 The children of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt were two; all the persons of the house of Jacob who came into Egypt were seventy.(B)

26 All those who went to Egypt with Jacob—those who were his direct descendants, not counting his sons’ wives—numbered sixty-six persons.(A) 27 With the two sons[a] who had been born to Joseph in Egypt,(B) the members of Jacob’s family, which went to Egypt, were seventy[b] in all.(C)
