Genesis 47:24-26

24 And it will be, at the harvest you shall give a (A)fifth to Pharaoh, and [a]four-fifths shall be your own for seed of the field and for your food and for those of your households and as food for your little ones.” 25 So they said, “You have kept us alive! Let us find favor in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s slaves.” 26 And Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt valid to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth; (B)only the land of the priests [b]did not become Pharaoh’s.

Genesis 47:24-26
New International Version
24 But when the crop comes in, give a fifth(A) of it to Pharaoh. The other four-fifths you may keep as seed for the fields and as food for yourselves and your households and your children.”
25 “You have saved our lives,” they said. “May we find favor in the eyes of our lord;(B) we will be in bondage to Pharaoh.”(C)
26 So Joseph established it as a law concerning land in Egypt—still in force today—that a fifth(D) of the produce belongs to Pharaoh. It was only the land of the priests that did not become Pharaoh’s.(E)
