Judah is a (A)lion’s whelp;
From the prey, my son, you have gone up.

And as a lioness, who [b]dares rouse him up?
10 (C)The scepter shall not depart from Judah,
Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,

And (D)to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine;
