15 They went into the ark with Noah, two by two, every creature that had breath in it. 16 Those that came, male and female of every type of flesh, entered the ark as God had commanded. The Lord closed the door after them.
17 The flood lasted for forty days. The waters rose and lifted the ark off the earth as they increased.

15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.(A) 16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah.(B) Then the Lord shut him in.
17 For forty days(C) the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
