19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out [a]by their families from the ark.
Yahweh’s Covenant with Noah
20 Then Noah built (A)an altar to Yahweh and took of every (B)clean animal and of every clean bird and offered (C)burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And Yahweh (D)smelled the [b]soothing aroma; and Yahweh said [c]to Himself, “I will never again (E)curse the ground because of man, for (F)the [d]intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; (G)and I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.

19 All the animals and all the creatures that move along the ground and all the birds—everything that moves on land—came out of the ark, one kind after another.
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord(A) and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean(B) birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings(C) on it. 21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma(D) and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground(E) because of humans, even though[a] every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood.(F) And never again will I destroy(G) all living creatures,(H) as I have done.
