³The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days^(A) the water had gone down,

³And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

¹⁵If he holds back the waters,^(A) there is drought;^(B)
if he lets them loose, they devastate the land.^(C)

¹⁵Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
