3 Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; (A)as with the green plant, I give all to you. 4 However, flesh with its life, that is, (B)its blood, you shall not eat. 5 Surely I will require [a](C)your lifeblood; [b](D)from every living thing I will require it. And [c]from every man, [d]from each man’s brother I will require the life of man.

4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.(C) 5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting.(D) I will demand an accounting from every animal.(E) And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.(F)
