3 Every crawling thing that is alive will be food for you, as are the green plants—I have now given you everything. 4 Only flesh with its life—that is, its blood—you must not eat! 5 Surely your lifeblood will I avenge. From every animal and from every person will I avenge it. From every person’s brother will I avenge that person’s life.

4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.(C) 5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting.(D) I will demand an accounting from every animal.(E) And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.(F)
