⁹ “Now behold, ^(A)I Myself am establishing My covenant with you, and with your ^[a]descendants after you; ¹⁰ and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, every animal of the earth. ¹¹ I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall ^(B)never again be eliminated by the waters of a flood, ^(C)nor shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth.” ¹² God said, “This is ^(D)the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for ^[b]all future generations; ¹³ I have set My ^(E)rainbow in the cloud, and it shall ^[c]serve as a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. ¹⁴ It shall come about, when I make a cloud appear over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, ¹⁵ and ^(F)I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and ^(G)never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. ¹⁶ When the rainbow is in the cloud, then I will look at it, to remember the ^(H)everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”

⁷ I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your ^[a]descendants after you throughout their generations as an ^(A)everlasting covenant, ^(B)to be God to you and ^(C)to your ^[b]descendants after you.
