¹⁰ He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters^(A)
    for a boundary between light and darkness.^(B)

¹⁹ “What is the way to the abode of light?
    And where does darkness reside?^(A)

²⁸ You, Lord, keep my lamp^(A) burning;
    my God turns my darkness into light.^(B)

²⁰ You bring darkness,^(A) it becomes night,^(B)
    and all the beasts of the forest^(C) prowl.

²⁸ He sent darkness^(A) and made the land dark—
    for had they not rebelled against^(B) his words?

¹⁶ I will lead^(A) the blind^(B) by ways they have not known,
    along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light^(C) before them
    and make the rough places smooth.^(D)
These are the things I will do;
    I will not forsake^(E) them.

⁷ I form the light and create darkness,^(A)
    I bring prosperity and create disaster;^(B)
    I, the Lord, do all these things.
