³⁸ The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi^[a]; he is the father of the Ammonites^[b](A) of today.

³⁷ But in accordance with the command of the Lord our God,^(A) you did not encroach on any of the land of the Ammonites,^(B) neither the land along the course of the Jabbok^(C) nor that around the towns in the hills.
