⁸ Now in the morning ^(A)his spirit was troubled, so he sent messengers and called for all the ^(B)soothsayer priests of Egypt, and all its ^(C)wise men. And Pharaoh told them his ^[a]dreams, but ^(D)there was no one who could interpret them for Pharaoh.

¹⁵ Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, ^(A)but no one can interpret it; and ^(B)I have heard ^[a]it said about you, that ^[b]when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

⁷ Then the ^(A)soothsayer priests, the sorcerers, the ^[a]Chaldeans, and the diviners came in and I related the dream ^[b]to them, but they could not make its ^(B)interpretation known to me.

⁸ Then all the king’s wise men came in, but ^(A)they could not read the inscription or make known its interpretation to the king.

¹⁵ Just now the ^(A)wise men and the sorcerers were brought in before me to read this inscription and make its interpretation known to me, but they ^(B)could not declare the interpretation of the ^[a]message.
