¹⁰ When they reached the threshing floor^(A) of Atad, near the Jordan, they lamented loudly and bitterly;^(B) and there Joseph observed a seven-day period^(C) of mourning^(D) for his father.^(E)

¹⁴ Supply them liberally from your flock, your threshing floor^(A) and your winepress. Give to them as the Lord your God has blessed you.

³⁷ look, I will place a wool fleece^(A) on the threshing floor.^(B) If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know^(C) that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.”

³ Wash,^(A) put on perfume,^(B) and get dressed in your best clothes.^(C) Then go down to the threshing floor, but don’t let him know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking.^(D)

⁶ So she went down to the threshing floor^(A) and did everything her mother-in-law told her to do.

¹⁴ So she lay at his feet until morning, but got up before anyone could be recognized; and he said, “No one must know that a woman came to the threshing floor.^(A)”^(B)
