11 Then he sweeps by like the wind, and goes on. He is indeed guilty, whose strength is his god.”
12 Aren’t you from everlasting, Yahweh my God,[a] my Holy One? We will not die. Yahweh, you have appointed him for judgment. You, Rock, have established him to punish. 13 You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously, and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,

11 Then they sweep past like the wind(A) and go on—
guilty people, whose own strength is their god.”(B)
Habakkuk’s Second Complaint
12 Lord, are you not from everlasting?(C)
My God, my Holy One,(D) you[a] will never die.(E)
You, Lord, have appointed(F) them to execute judgment;
you, my Rock,(G) have ordained them to punish.
13 Your eyes are too pure(H) to look on evil;
you cannot tolerate wrongdoing.(I)
Why then do you tolerate(J) the treacherous?(K)
Why are you silent while the wicked
swallow up those more righteous than themselves?(L)
