Habakkuk 1:4-6
World English Bible
4 Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails; for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore justice comes out perverted.
5 “Look among the nations, watch, and wonder marvelously; for I am working a work in your days, which you will not believe though it is told you. 6 For, behold,[a] I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, that march through the width of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs.

4 Therefore the law(A) is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice(B) is perverted.(C)
The Lord’s Answer
5 “Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.(D)
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.(E)
6 I am raising up the Babylonians,[a](F)
that ruthless and impetuous people,
who sweep across the whole earth(G)
to seize dwellings not their own.(H)
