16 You will be filled with disgrace rather than honor.
(A)Drink, you yourself, and [a]expose your own foreskin!
The (B)cup in the Lords right hand will come around to you,
And (C)utter disgrace will come upon your glory.
17 For the (D)violence [b]done to Lebanon will [c]overwhelm you,
And the devastation of its animals [d]by which you terrified them,
(E)Because of human bloodshed and (F)violence [e]done to the land,
To the town and all its inhabitants.

18 “What (G)benefit is a carved image when its maker has carved it,
Or a cast metal image, a (H)teacher of falsehood?
For its maker (I)trusts in his own handiwork
When he fashions speechless idols.

For you have shed human blood;(H)
    you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them.

18 “Of what value(I) is an idol(J) carved by a craftsman?
    Or an image(K) that teaches lies?
For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation;
    he makes idols that cannot speak.(L)
