Habakkuk 2:3-5

3 For the vision is yet for the (A)appointed time;
It pants toward its end, and it will not [a]lie.
Though it tarries, (B)wait for it;
For it will certainly come; it (C)will not delay.
4 “Behold, as for the (D)proud one,
His soul is not right within him;
But the (E)righteous will live by his [b]faith.
5 And indeed, (F)wine betrays the (G)haughty man
So that he does not (H)stay at home.
He (I)enlarges his appetite like Sheol,
And he is like death, never satisfied.
He also gathers to himself all nations
And assembles to himself all peoples.

3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;(A)
it speaks of the end(B)
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait(C) for it;
it[a] will certainly come
and will not delay.(D)
4 “See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person(E) will live by his faithfulness[b](F)—
5 indeed, wine(G) betrays him;
he is arrogant(H) and never at rest.
Because he is as greedy as the grave
and like death is never satisfied,(I)
he gathers to himself all the nations
and takes captive(J) all the peoples.
