I see God moving across the deserts from Mount Sinai.[a] His brilliant splendor fills the earth and sky; his glory fills the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise! What a wonderful God he is! From his hands flash rays of brilliant light. He rejoices in his awesome power.[b] Pestilence marches before him; plague follows close behind.

God came from Teman,
    the Holy One from Mount Paran.[a]
His glory covered the heavens
    and his praise filled the earth.
His splendor was like the sunrise;
    rays flashed from his hand,
    where his power was hidden.
Plague went before him;
    pestilence followed his steps.
