Hebrews 11:37-39
Modern English Version
37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered around in sheepskins and goatskins, while destitute, afflicted, and tormented. 38 The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.
39 These all have obtained a good report through faith, but they did not receive the promise.

37 They were put to death by stoning;[a](A) they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword.(B) They went about in sheepskins and goatskins,(C) destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves(D) and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended(E) for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised,(F)
