Hebrews 11:5-7

⁵^(A) Enoch had faith and did not die. He pleased God, and God took him up to heaven. This is why his body was never found. ⁶But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and rewards everyone who searches for him.

⁷^(B) Because Noah had faith, he was warned about something that had not yet happened. He obeyed and built a boat that saved him and his family. In this way the people of the world were judged, and Noah was given the blessings that come to everyone who pleases God.

Hebrews 11:5-7

New International Version

⁵By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”^[a]^(A) For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. ⁶And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him^(B) must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

⁷By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen,^(C) in holy fear built an ark^(D) to save his family.^(E) By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.^(F)
