Hebrews 12:19-21
New Matthew Bible
19 neither to the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, which voice the people that heard it wished away so that the message would not be spoken to them. 20 For they were not able to abide that which was spoken. If a beast had touched the mountain, it was to have been stoned or thrust through with a dart. 21 Even so terrible was the sight that appeared, Moses said, I fear and quake!

19 to a trumpet blast(A) or to such a voice speaking words(B) that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them,(C) 20 because they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.”[a](D) 21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.”[b](E)
