20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:(A)
21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

20 because they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.”[a](A) 21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.”[b](B)
22 But you have come to Mount Zion,(C) to the city(D) of the living God,(E) the heavenly Jerusalem.(F) You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,
