Hebrews 2:13-15
Common English Bible

13 He also says,

I will rely on him.[a]

And also,

Here I am with the children whom God has given to me.[b]

14 Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he also shared the same things in the same way. He did this to destroy the one who holds the power over death—the devil—by dying. 15 He set free those who were held in slavery their entire lives by their fear of death.

New International Version

13 And again,

“I will put my trust in him.”[a](A)

And again he says,

“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”[b](B)

14 Since the children have flesh and blood,(C) he too shared in their humanity(D) so that by his death he might break the power(E) of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil(F)— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear(G) of death.
