Hebrews 2:13-15

13 Again, I will trust in him.[a] And again, Here I am with the children God gave me.[b](A)

14 Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death—that is, the devil(B)— 15 and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.(C)

13 And again,

“I will put my trust in him.”[a](A)

And again he says,

“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”[b](B)

14 Since the children have flesh and blood,(C) he too shared in their humanity(D) so that by his death he might break the power(E) of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil(F)— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear(G) of death.
