And no man takes honour to himself, but he who is called by God, as was Aaron. So also likewise, Christ did not glorify himself to be made the high priest, but he who said to him, You are my Son, this day I have begotten you, glorified him. And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.(A)

In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory(B) of becoming a high priest.(C) But God said(D) to him,
