Hebrews 8:6-8

6 But Christ has been given a much better work, because he is the man who is between God and men in making an agreement. This is a much better agreement. It was made by better promises.
7 If the first agreement had been all right, there would have been no need to make another.
8 When the people had done wrong, God's words to them were, `The days will come, the Lord says, when I will make a new agreement with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.

New International Version
6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant(A) of which he is mediator(B) is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.
7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.(C) 8 But God found fault with the people and said[a]:
“The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant(D)
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
