³ This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.^(A)

¹² He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves;^(A) but he entered the Most Holy Place^(B) once for all^(C) by his own blood,^(D) thus obtaining^[a] eternal redemption.

²⁵ Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place^(A) every year with blood that is not his own.^{(B) 26} Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world.^(C) But he has appeared^(D) once for all^(E) at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.^{(F) 27} Just as people are destined to die once,^(G) and after that to face judgment,^{(H) 28} so Christ was sacrificed once^(I) to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time,^(J) not to bear sin,^(K) but to bring salvation^(L) to those who are waiting for him.^(M)

¹¹ Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices,^(A) which can never take away sins.^{(B) 12} But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins,^(C) he sat down at the right hand of God,^{(D) 13} and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool.^{(E) 14} For by one sacrifice he has made perfect^(F) forever those who are being made holy.^(G)

³⁸ “This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day:^(A) two lambs a year old. ³⁹ Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.^(B)

⁶ “Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household.^(A)

¹¹ “Aaron shall bring the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household,^(A) and he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering.

¹⁵ “He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people^(A) and take its blood behind the curtain^(B) and do with it as he did with the bull’s blood: He shall sprinkle^(C) it on the atonement cover and in front of it. ¹⁶ In this way he will make atonement^(D) for the Most Holy Place^(E) because of the uncleanness and rebellion of the Israelites, whatever their sins have been. He is to do the same for the tent of meeting,^(F) which is among them in the midst of their uncleanness. ¹⁷ No one is to be in the tent of meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make atonement in the Most Holy Place until he comes out, having made atonement for himself, his household and the whole community of Israel.

³ Say to them: ‘This is the food offering you are to present to the Lord: two lambs a year old without defect,^(A) as a regular burnt offering each day.^{(B) 4} Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,^(C)
