Hosea 12:12-14
Good News Translation
12 (A)Our ancestor Jacob had to flee to Mesopotamia, where, in order to get a wife, he worked for another man and took care of his sheep. 13 (B)The Lord sent a prophet to rescue the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt and to take care of them. 14 The people of Israel have made the Lord bitterly angry; they deserve death for their crimes. Their Lord will punish them for the disgrace they have brought on him.

Hosea 12:12-14
New International Version
12 Jacob fled to the country of Aram[a];(A)
Israel served to get a wife,
and to pay for her he tended sheep.(B)
13 The Lord used a prophet to bring Israel up from Egypt,(C)
by a prophet he cared for him.(D)
14 But Ephraim has aroused his bitter anger;
his Lord will leave on him the guilt of his bloodshed(E)
and will repay him for his contempt.(F)
