And now the people disobey more and more. They melt their silver to mold into idols, formed with skill by the hands of men. “Sacrifice to these!” they say—men kissing calves! Now they sin more and more;

It is said of these people,
    “They offer human sacrifices!

Therefore they will be like the morning mist,
    like the early dew that disappears,(F)
    like chaff(G) swirling from a threshing floor,(H)
    like smoke(I) escaping through a window.

“But I have been the Lord your God
    ever since you came out of Egypt.(J)

    no Savior(M) except me.
