New American Standard Bible

8 Ephraim, what more have I to do with (A)idols?
It is I who answer and look after [a]you.
I am like a luxuriant (B)juniper;
From (C)Me [b]comes your fruit.

9 (D)Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
Whoever is discerning, let him know them.
For the (E)ways of the Lord are right,
And the (F)righteous will walk in them,
But (G)wrongdoers will stumble in them.

8 Ephraim, what more have I[a] to do with idols?(A)
    I will answer him and care for him.
I am like a flourishing juniper;(B)
    your fruitfulness comes from me.”

9 Who is wise?(C) Let them realize these things.
    Who is discerning? Let them understand.(D)
The ways of the Lord are right;(E)
    the righteous walk(F) in them,
    but the rebellious stumble in them.
