My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because [a]thou hast refused knowledge, I will also refuse thee that thou shalt be no Priest to me: and seeing [b]thou hast forgotten the Law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

As they were [c]increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

[d]They eat up the sins of my people, and lift up their minds in their iniquity.
