6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.(A)
Because you have rejected knowledge,(B)
I will reject you(C) from serving as My priest.
Since you have forgotten the law of your God,(D)
I will also forget your sons.
7 The more they multiplied,(E)
the more they sinned against Me.
I[a] will change their honor[b] into disgrace.(F)
8 They feed on the sin[c] of My people;(G)
they have an appetite for their transgressions.(H)

I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law(B) of your God,
I also will ignore your children.
7 The more priests there were,
the more they sinned against me;
they exchanged their glorious God[a](C) for something disgraceful.(D)
8 They feed on the sins of my people
and relish their wickedness.(E)
