Hosea 7:3-5
New Life Version
3 They make the king glad with their wrong-doing, and the leaders with their lies. 4 None of them are faithful. They are like a hot stove whose fire the bread-maker leaves alone from the time he makes the dough until the bread rises. 5 On the special day of our king the leaders became drunk with wine. He joined hands with those who laughed at the truth.

3 “They delight the king with their wickedness,
the princes with their lies.(A)
4 They are all adulterers,(B)
burning like an oven
whose fire the baker need not stir
from the kneading of the dough till it rises.
5 On the day of the festival of our king
the princes become inflamed with wine,(C)
and he joins hands with the mockers.(D)
