Israel, do not rejoice jubilantly as the nations do,(A)
for you have acted promiscuously,(B) leaving your God.
You have loved the wages of a prostitute

Do not rejoice, Israel;
    do not be jubilant(A) like the other nations.
For you have been unfaithful(B) to your God;
    you love the wages of a prostitute(C)
    at every threshing floor.

All her carved images will be smashed(A) to pieces;
all her wages(B) will be burned in the fire,
and I will destroy all her idols.
Since she collected the wages of a prostitute,(C)
they will be used again for a prostitute.
