14 Give them, O Jehovah—what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. 15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal; for there I hated them: because of the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of my house; I will love them no more; all their princes are revolters. 16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay the beloved fruit of their womb.

what will you give them?
Give them wombs that miscarry
and breasts that are dry.(A)
15 “Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal,(B)
I hated them there.
Because of their sinful deeds,(C)
I will drive them out of my house.
I will no longer love them;(D)
all their leaders are rebellious.(E)
16 Ephraim(F) is blighted,
their root is withered,
they yield no fruit.(G)
Even if they bear children,
I will slay(H) their cherished offspring.”
